Applied 2022/06/10 after 3 years in Singapore, salary 7K+. 2023/01/04 asked to submit parents' CVs — thought results would come quickly but it was an endless wait. 2023/06/16 changed jobs + salary increase, updated ICA. 2023/12/07 (1.5 years since application) emailed ICA with updated payslip to check progress. 2024/03/03 received email at midnight — it was a rejection. Waiting 20 months for this result was devastating. 2024/07/16 emailed appeal explaining salary increase + bought life insurance + Singapore life plans (marriage, children, property) + career plans + 2 reference letters. 2024/07/25 ICA replied accepting appeal, same day showed pending in system. 2024/08/29 early morning email with result — it was Approved! Outcome letter dated 2024/08/26, meaning ICA approved exactly one month after accepting the appeal. Finally a good result after all this waiting — truly not easy.
